Srinagar, April 24, 2025 The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) is expected to announce the Class 12 results for the 2025 academic year by April 30, according to various media reports. Though an official confirmation is pending, sources indicate that the evaluation process is nearing completion, and students should prepare for the result release.

Exam Overview and Participation

The JKBOSE Class 12 exams were conducted in two zones to accommodate geographic diversity:

  • Soft Zone: February 15 March 17, 2025

  • Hard Zone: February 20 March 20, 2025

Approximately 93,000 students across Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh appeared in the examinations. The board evaluated students across Science, Commerce, Arts, and Home Science streams, with a minimum pass mark of 33% in English and 36% in each elective, including practical components.

Previous Year Highlights

In 2024, the Class 12 results were announced on June 6, with an overall pass percentage of 74%. Girls continued to outperform boys:

  • Girls: 77%

  • Boys: 72%

Notably, Commerce stream had the highest success rate—90% of girls and 79% of boys passed. A total of 25,435 students earned distinctions.
