UFC middleweight contender Marvin Vettori shares a heartfelt message on the demise of his younger brother Patrick Vettori

Marvin Vettori , a UFC middleweight contender , has suffered a deep loss as the fighter lost his younger brother, Patrick Vettori , in a tragic apartment fire accident in Mezzocorona, Italy. The deceased was 30 years old at the time of death. The incident was reported by the Italian news station TGCOM24 and USA Today. Even though the neighbors noticed the rising smoke and reported the incident, Vettori’s brother had already passed away due to excessive inhalation of smoke.
Marvin Vettori’s younger brother Patrick Vettori passed away in a tragic apartment fire accidentOn April 15, 2025, the fighter took to Instagram and expressed a heartfelt message as a tribute to his late brother, Patrick Vettori. He wrote, “You were and always will be number one my little brother. You left a void that cannot be filled, I will love you until my last breath. I don’t think I’ll be the same after today because maybe I never told you but you’ve always been my strength.”

The fighter continued to express his adoration for Patrick in his message, “You were the smartest and most intelligent of the 2; you were creating a wonderful future for yourself…It is said that Jesus calls back the most beautiful souls prematurely to have them with him in heaven, and then I hope that you are there with him, looking and watching over us with that goodness that has always set you apart. I love you, my brother, and even though it won’t be easy to continue life without you, it gives me heart to know that one day I’ll be buried next to you.”

The former Venator FC welterweight champion concluded his message with “I love you.” Fans and family members of the fighter have shown their support in the post. Italian cyclist Ignazio Moser wrote, “A piece of my heart is leaving with you.. Bye my little brother, I'll miss you like crazy”


MMA veteran Michael Bisping also expressed his condolences . The fighter wrote, “So sorry brother. My deepest condolences”

Other UFC fighters who have shown their support towards the family of Marvin are Benoit Saint-Denis, Amir Albazi and even UFC broadcaster Megan Olivi.

Marvin’s last bout was against Roman Dolidze at UFC Fight Night. The fighter came back to the Octagon after a long break of almost 2 years and lost to Dolidze. Now, after the devastating news of his brother’s death, the fighter’s next step within the promotion remains unknown.
