Over two million Brits visit Majorca every year and it can sometimes be hard to find a quiet spot to relax. The island is known for its range of beautiful beaches and great weather, attracting people from around the world.
Son Baulo Beach, located in the Santa Margalida area, offers a less crowded haven for tourists. It boasts white sand and clear blue waters, making it the perfect spot for families to enjoy. It is a popular beach for snorkelling and swimming due to the moderate waves and gradual shoreline depth.
The beach is surrounded by high mountains and pine forests. The outfall of the Torrent de Son Baulo River is also located behind the beach.
Son Baulo is also a popular area for hikers, with a number of trails which lead into the Son Real Natural Park. Visitors are able to explore the natural beauty of the area through routes of varying difficulty, as reported by the Majorca Daily Bulletin.
The beach benefits from being located close to several restaurants and cafes. There are also some supermarkets for visitors to collect essential supplies such as water and sun cream.
Son Baulo Beach is manned by lifeguards and there are toilets and showers available for visitors. It also has reserved areas for disabled access and all terrain wheelchairs are available.
The beach, which is located around 65km from Palma, is easy to find and has parking access. It reportedly never gets overcrowded, including during July and August.

It has a number of flawless reviews on TripAdvisor. One visitor wrote: "We stayed in the Sun Baulo hotel right on this beach. It is natural and unspoilt with a lagoon and nature reserve.
