Robert Jenrick wants futuristic DNA testing small boat migrants to monitor criminals

That's why I've laid an amendment to the Government's Criminal Justice Bill, which would force them to publish the full details on migrant crime. That means total transparency about how many migrants commit crime, what kind of crime they commit, where they're from, whether they're here illegally, and how they came to this country.

In the same vein, we must swab and track those who arrive on small boats, so that we can more easily link illegal migrants to any crimes that they commit.

It will allow us to have an informed and honest discussion about who is coming to Britain, and what impact this is likely to have on our country. This kind of honesty is the very least that the public deserves. And it might just shame Keir Starmer into acting.

The British public's patience has snapped. The demonstrations across the country are a sign that the public has simply had enough. The vast majority of those protesting aren't far-right radicals. They're ordinary people concerned about the risk that these asylum hotels pose.

The public are absolutely right to be concerned about undocumented men flooding into the country. People see the horrifying stats, like the indicative data that shows Afghans are 22 times more likely to be convicted of a sex crime, and are horrified at the idea that these problems might be imported into their community. As the father of three girls, I feel the same way.

The truth is illegal migration crisis is fuelling crime. After all, those who come here illegally, including by crossing on small boats, have already broken our laws. In the last few weeks alone alleged rapes and kidnappings have been linked to illegal migrants. I have warned about terror suspects crossing in small boats and won't be silenced by the Home Office's attempts to brush it under the carpet.

So when people see hundreds of illegal migrants, mostly young men, imposed on their community, it's no wonder that they take to the streets.

Somehow the Government has failed to get the message. Those who come here illegally should be detained, held in secure facilities away from the public, and swiftly deported. It's as simple as that. But Starmer has failed to do that and the numbers crossing are on course to break records.

For too long, politicians in Westminster have failed to tell the truth about the risk that migration poses to the public. We still don't have the full data on migrant crime, but the indicative data that we have paints a stark picture. Certain nationalities - like those from Albania - are significantly more likely to be convicted of a crime than British nationals.
