Next James Bond director Denis Villeneuve is rumoured to be searching for a less-well-known actor rather than a Hollywood A-lister to play the new 007.
And according to the latest next Bond bookies' odds, one young thespian has had his chances slashed from 12-1 to 6-1.
Coral's John Hill said, "Anthony Boyle has put a strong marker on House of Guinness.
"And after significant support in our betting over the last few hours, his odds have been slashed in half to become the next James Bond."
Boyle stars as Arthur Guinness, the eldest son of the Irish brewing company, in the new Netflix drama show. The 31-year-old's first big break was starring as Scorpius Malfoy in the original West End and Broadway casts of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, for which he won an Olivier and was nominated for a Tony. He also played Major Crosby in Masters of the Air and now has better Bond odds than his House of Guinness co-star James Norton, who is on 20-1.
The other top odds are as follows: 8-11 Aaron Taylor-Johnson, 2-1 Callum Turner, 7-2 Henry Cavill, 6-1 Anthony Boyle, 6-1 James Nelson-Joyce, 8-1 Theo James, 8-1 Harris Dickinson, 10-1 Aaron Pierre, 10-1 Jack Lowden, 10-1 Tom Holland, 20-1 Jacob Elordi, 20-1 James Norton, 20-1 Sam C Wilson, 20-1 Jonathan Bailey, 20-1 Scott Rose-Marsh.
