The US President revealed last year that his favourite film is an Oscar-winning classic celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
When campaigning for re-election, appeared on Andrew Schulz's Flagrant with Akaash Singh.
During the interview, 45/47 spoke of his "tough" Scottish heritage on his mother's side.
And it wasn't long before the conversation moved onto a 1995 historical epic.
The film in question is Mel Gibson's Braveheart, the winner of five Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Director.
Trump shared: "I saw Braveheart. I think is a very good guy, I've met him a number of times... that was Super Mel Gibson in his prime.
"And I was on a plane and there was nothing to do. It was one of these planes where you couldn't make calls and they had tapes."
Trump continued: "And they showed me, 'Sir we have 20 tapes'... this was probably six years ago. I never saw Braveheart and they showed me a tape and I said, 'Alright, let's put that one on' and within about four minutes I said, 'This may be the greatest movie I've ever seen! I wish I saw it with my mother."
He added of Gibson: "His look, his way, you couldn't have had a better guy playing it. But that was a great movie"
Braveheart is streaming now on Disney+.
