The Yellowstone saga isn't over yet, with two Hollywood heavyweights set to join the iconic Western universe.

Taylor Sheridan's acclaimed Paramount Network Western drama Yellowstone may have concluded in late 2024, but the tale of the Duttons is far from finished.

Paramount+ will soon host a spin-off centred around Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser), aptly named The Dutton Ranch.

Reilly and Hauser, along with Finn Little as their adopted son Carter, will continue to navigate life on the family ranch, forming the core of the drama.

It's been revealed that they'll be joined by Hollywood star Ed Harris, known for his roles in Apollo 13, The Truman Show and Empire Falls, among others.

Harris, who recently portrayed The Man in Black in HBO's dystopian drama Westworld for four seasons, will play Everett McKinney in The Dutton Ranch, described as a "weathered veteran and veterinarian who treats animals with compassion and understanding and possesses a good sense of humour".

But Harris isn't the only big name joining the Yellowstone universe.

Actor Kurt Russell has also signed up for the spin-off The Madison, where he's set to play the husband of Michelle Pfeiffer's character.

Sheridan's The Madison is set to be a "heartfelt exploration of grief and human connection, following a New York City family in the Madison River Valley of central Montana".

Russell has graced the big screen in numerous blockbuster films such as The Hateful Eight, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, Fast and Furious 8, Tombstone and The Thing.

Most recently, Russell appeared in Apple TV+'s Monarch: Legacy of Monsters alongside his son Wyatt Russell.

The Madison, already confirmed for a second series, will also feature Suits' Patrick J Adams, A Man Called Otto's Elle Chapman, Lost actor Matthew Fox and Gossip Girl's Kevin Zegers.

The Yellowstone universe first grew with the prequels 1883 and 1923, both of which have now concluded.

Beth and Rip's spin-off The Dutton Ranch is currently in development, along with The Madison and Y: Marshals, which will star Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton.

Two additional series are also being developed, the first being another prequel titled 1944 and the second, 6666.

The latter will centre around the historic Four Sixes Ranch in West Texas, with Jimmy Hurdstrom actor Jefferson White confirmed to star.

The Yellowstone franchise can be viewed on Paramount Network and Paramount+.
