A pub-goer was left fuming after ordering a pint of Guinness and a glass of water, only to be served in a way that left them so irked they took to Reddit to vent their frustration. The disgruntled drinker posted a photo on the r/MildlyInfuriated forum showing the Guinness served in a standard pint glass, while the water was bizarrely poured into a Guinness glass.
The peculiar choice was slammed as "completely diabolical" by fellow Redditors, with hundreds rushing to share their thoughts on the post.
One user joked: "Dang, what did you do to p*** the waiter off?" Another responded: "They probably don't care unfortunately." A third added: "Completely diabolical. Best post I've seen on this sub."

Others felt the glass mix-up was the "most accurate representation of mildly infuriating" they had ever encountered.
One person asked: "Can something truly be mildly infuriating if there isn't a little bit of funny to it?"
While some might think it's petty to get upset about the type of glass your Guinness is served in, there's actually a good reason why drinkers get irate about it.
This is because the iconic tulip or "gravity" glass shape is key to achieving the perfect Guinness pour. The wider top allows the nitrogen bubbles to cascade and settle, forming the beer's signature creamy head.

In addition to this, some beer enthusiasts believe that the shape of the glass intensifies the aromas, thus enriching the drinking experience.
It also enables the beer to reach your palate in a manner that accentuates its roasted, malty flavours.
