Christian Eriksen has confirmed he will leave next month. He will depart officially at the end of June when his contract expires.

Asked immediately after the full-time whistle if that was his last act in a United shirt, Eriksen told TNT Sports: "Yes, that is correct. I think that is also why Bruno gave me a penalty as a nice farewell. I think we did it today for the fans. It has been a tough season, but I am going to wish them all the best. It is an incredible stadium, an incredible club and I have no doubt I will be back at some point.
"It has been an exciting few years being in this stadium and playing for this club. I have enjoyed it and I take a lot of good memories with me."

Asked what will be next for him, the Dane added: "First of all, a holiday and relax, and then the national team.
"Then I will see what the future holds. I am still fit to play."
Eriksen signed with United on a free transfer in July 2022, following an impressive stint at Brentford as he returned to action after a heart attack suffered during Euro 2020. He made over 100 appearances for the club, netting eight goals.
His was not the only touching note of the second half, as was brought on for his 241st and final United appearance. He's leaving at the end of the season when his contract runs out also, and looks likely to retire.
It was also confirmed that the Swedish international who cost £30million during Jose Mourinho's tenure, is also departing on a free transfer when his deal expires too.
