King Charles' 'ultimatum' for Prince Harry as royal family 'struggling to forget'

King Charles is reportedly concerned ahead of a possible reunion with his son Prince Harry. The Duke of Sussex is back in the UK today for the first time since April this year to attend the annual WellChild Awards

Rumours have been swirling that he will reunite with his father King Charles during his trip and if they do, it will be the first time they have seen each other since February 2024 when Charles revealed he was battling cancer.

Since then, Harry has given an interview, where he said he wanted reconciliation. He shared: "I can't see a world in which I would bring my wife and children back to the UK at this point."

"There have been so many disagreements between myself and some of my family ... I would love reconciliation with my family. There's no point continuing to fight any more, life is precious."

He said he "loves his country," adding: "I always have done, despite what some people in that country have done... and I think that it's really quite sad that I won't be able to show my children my homeland."

Harry also heartbreakingly said that he didn't "know how much longer my father has left", leaving people desperate that the pair might reunite during this trip. However, it seems this may be off the cards.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain today, the Royal Editor of the Sunday Times, Roya Nikkhah, said: "No one knows apart from the King, Harry and his private secretary. As from what I understand, it's still very up in the air.

"If it does happen, I think it'll happen midweek when the King comes down from Balmoral. It's never that simple. Father and son want to see each other but Harry has said so many things in the last two years that has been hurtful to the King, to the Queen, to William, to Kate. There's so much mistrust. Can a meeting like that happen and Harry not talk about it after? That's the key question."

Host Susanna Reid then asked what the most hurtful things Harry had said, and Roya revealed she thought it was what Harry had said in Spare about Queen Camilla being "dangerous".

She added: "That was hurtful to the King. There's no doubt William wasn't thrilled about the stuff in Spare and what was said about Kate and Meghan. The Oprah interview, the Netflix series - there's a lot of things the Royal Family are finding hard to forget."
