Kate Garraway screamed over a Tory MP when he appeared to tell a blatant lie amid the immigration row. The journalist, 58, was back in her hosting seat on ITV's Good Morning Britain alongside Rob Rinder when they were joined by Conservative politician Matt Vickers.
The three were discussing the immigration crisis, but Kate was left with no choice to intervene when Matt seemed to tell a total mistruth and claimed that Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has put a law in place which she was convinced did not exist.
He said: "The reality is we need to stop people coming and what this government done is the opposite of that, there are 50 per cent more people arriving, and that's because Keir Starmer changed the law. He said that if you break into the country, you can become a British citizen. What does that message send to the people?"

Immediately, a furious Kate shot back: "I don't think Sir Keir Starmer has ever said that! I don't think..." but the MP interrupted: "He has changed the law, it's a fact, he has changed the law to allow people to come here illegally.
"It is a fact. It was illegal before, we put it in black and white. If you break in, you can't become a British citizen."
"Hang on, one of the thing is you need to negotiate where they're going to go back to. I'm not a member of the government in any any way shape or form. They've negotiated a deal with France which the Conservative government weren't able to return and they've said all along the want to smash the gangs and stop the illegal crossing.
"What you haven't answered is, in the short term, where would you put people who need to be processed, you've mentioned camps. They aren't built, how quickly would you be able to build them?"
He said: "The reality is the number of people arriving in the country has gone up a little bit, it's gone up hugely. And the people being deported has gone down. The dashboard is flashing red, it's going the wrong way.
"You need to tell people that if they come here illegally, they will not be allowed to stay. Until that happens, these people are going to continue to come in ever-increasing numbers"
Even at the end of the interview, Kate was still at a loss to what law the MP had mentioned, and her co-star Rob had no idea either. She said: "It's good to talk to you, thank you very much indeed."
After the call had come to an end, Rob said: "I wonder what law he's referring to," and Kate agreed as she added: "I'm not sure, but we can check it out, he put his point clear!"
