Jose Mourinho plots shock move for struggling Man Utd star as offer details emerges

Jose Mourinho is ready to offer an escape route from his struggles at with Fenerbahce interested in signing the striker on loan this summer.

It remains to be seen if United would prefer to loan or sell Hojlund. The Red Devils are known to be in the market for attacking reinforcements, including a new No.9, but they do not have an endless pot of cash to splash.

They would be unlikely to recoup the £72m they parted with to sign the Denmark international, though, which could make a loan move more attractive.

The report adds Fenerbahce's first offer for the forward will be a loan proposal with an option to make the move permanent.

While there has been plenty of speculation that Holund could be put up for sale this summer he was singled out for praise by Amorim after United's recent triumph over Athletic Bilbao in the semi-finals.
