Homeless man has dramatic transformation after stranger's heartwarming gesture

A homeless man looks completely different after a stranger's selfless gesture went viral on TikTok. It's not the first time Joshua Santiago helped a man who "couldn't stop smiling" with his dramatic makeover.

The barber often travels across Philadelphia, US, including other parts of the country, to offer complimentary trims to those struggling on the streets. And when he's holding a pair of scissors, he can be quite the magician after founding his company Empowering Cuts. With over 656,800 followers on his TikTok platform, Joshua often shares his heartwarming gesture online – and his latest transformation is certainly no different.

Sharing recently, a man wearing a blue top and black trousers arrives at Joshua's street barber for a game-changing cut.

His afro is grown and he has a little bit of facial hair too. But once he leaves the chair, he's a completely different man. The video starts with Joshua dressing up his client in a gown before trimming his hair and giving him a neat fade.

Next he brushes off any excess hair from his face then gives him a good spray and blow-dry.

He spends a little bit more time perfecting the fade and then neatens up the man's facial fuzz.

Seconds later, he sprays his entire head before passing a mirror to him so he can have a little glance himself. And he looks pretty happy with the work the barber had done.

Joshua's caption read: "When your work comes from the heart, you naturally pour your soul into it and everyone you come across can feel that energy.

"It's not just what you do, it's how you make people feel that leaves a lasting impact."

People rushed to the comments section to applaud Joshua for his kind gesture as one wrote: "You're doing amazing work." Another added: "God bless you young man." And a third said: "Can't forget that's someone's baby."

Joshua is known for his kind act where he travels across the US state offering complimentary haircuts to those living on the streets. Many people often hail Joshua as a "blessing", and for several years he's been travelling with his van.
