Gary Neville claims that the manner in which Arsenal landed Eberechi Eze ahead of rivals Tottenham was "a spectacular piece of business".
The England winger was introduced to the Emirates crowd on Saturday night as he walked out before they hammered Leeds to a triumphant reception. Eze donned an Arsenal shirt with No.10 on the back after his move to north London was confirmed.
His exit from Crystal Palace had looked likely but it appeared as if he was heading to Tottenham after they'd negotiated the framework of the deal, but failed to complete it. The Eagles wanted to hold off so that Eze could play in their European qualifier earlier in the week.
But Arsenal made a last ditch call to land the winger and Palace accepted their offer with the player always favouring a move to the Emirates given he was a boyhood fan of the club.
He's been one of the most impressive performers in the Premier League recently and would've been a huge addition for any club, but he will now enhance Arsenal's title push all while leaving Tottenham to digest another near miss in the transfer market.

Neville said on Sky Sports: "It was a spectacular piece of business to steal Eze away from Spurs in the way they did. It will be interesting to see where Eze plays. Saka is on the right, Gyokeres will play up front. Will he play in the Odegaard role or will he go on the left hand side and fight it out with Madueke and Martinelli?"
Eze's arrival gives Mikel Arteta even more options. Noni Madueke was another summer buy and will push for a spot in a front three that includes Bukayo Saka, Ethan Nwaneri and Gabriel Martinelli. Viktor Gyokeres will lead the line and scored twice on his home debut on Saturday.
The 27-year-old has cost the Gunners £67.5million and could make his debut in next weekend's crunch clash at Liverpool. Two years ago Eze scored the only goal at Anfield as Palace secured a shock win and Arteta believe he will give them a new look in attack.
He said: “We are absolutely delighted to bring Eberechi to Arsenal. He is a powerful and exciting player who will give us a new dimension in our attacking game. What stands out just as much as his talent and intelligence as a player, is the way he has worked hard throughout his career to get where he is today."
