A British boyband star has reportedly been arrested by police on suspicion of common assault towards a woman and a child.
According to The Sun, a domestic abuse deterrent was issued against the singer after police received a distressing emergency call. They were eventually released on bail and issued a Domestic Abuse Protection Notice, which means that police had reasonable grounds to suspect that abuse had occurred.
The singer is reportedly not facing a charge however, as a magistrate refused to grant an order on the back of the police's notice.

Police told the publication: "Officers responded and spoke to a woman who said she had been assaulted by a man known to her, approximately two weeks ago.
"Further enquiries were carried out. However, there was insufficient evidence to refer the case to the Crown Prosecution Service. Officers authorised a Domestic Abuse Protection Notice.
"However, a Domestic Abuse Protection Order was not granted by the magistrate."
Domestic Abuse Protection Orders were introduced this year, with those being issue an order being required to follow instructions in a bid to protect domestic violence victims. Officers must apply for the orders and courts can then impose restrictions on abusers.
While the identity of the boyband star in question is unknown, The Sun reported that he is a regular guest on TV shows and "gives interviews to glossy magazines".
Earlier this year, a Strictly Come Dancing star was reportedly arrested on suspicion of rape. The male suspect was also reportedly being questioned by police over allegations involving "non-consensual intimate image abuse".
The BBC confirmed to The Mirror in August that there is an "ongoing police investigation".
While in July, it was reported that an actor had been arrested on the set of EastEnders following an alleged assault that left a woman "clearly very distressed". A woman reportedly complained that a fellow extra - a man in his 50s - had tried to forcibly kiss her.
Security stepped in to grab the man, which led to a scuffle before the actor was handed over to police. The man was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault of the woman and of common assault against another person, which is alleged to have happened while he was escorted away.
