Delhi School News: Air quality in Delhi has reached the poor category. Many schools in the state have suspended outdoor activities during this period. Preparations are also underway to close schools.
Delhi's air quality showed a slight improvement on Wednesday (November 5), although the air quality remained in the "poor" category with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 273. Many are preparing to close. Currently, no such order has been issued by the government. This decision was made by the schools themselves. Under the Winter Action Plan, government and private schools have issued guidelines to reduce pollution, keeping children's health in mind.
Indoor activities for children's healthKeeping children's health in mind, indoor activities are being conducted within schools. Masks have been made mandatory for everyone. Furthermore, activities are being conducted in clubs to ensure clean air. Most schools have also decided not to hold morning prayers in open grounds. Additionally, air purifiers are being used in schools.

In Shadipur, the air quality reached the "very poor" category with a level of 308. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB)'s "Sameer App," air quality was recorded in the "poor" category at 27 monitoring stations.
This was the weather in the capital.On Tuesday night (November 4), the Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 291. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature was recorded at 18.4 degrees Celsius, 3.1 degrees above the season's average, while the humidity was recorded at 89 percent at 8:30 am.
According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature is expected to be around 30 degrees Celsius. The Central Pollution Control Board classifies an AQI between 0 and 50 as good, 51 and 100 as satisfactory, 101 and 200 as moderate, 201 and 300 as poor, 301 and 400 as very poor, and 401 and 500 as severe.
