A man was robbed in an auto rickshaw in Adarsh Nagar, Delhi. The driver and another passenger strangled him and snatched his mobile, cash and ATM cards. Five days later, the victim himself identified the robbers and informed the police. The police promptly arrested both the accused. The victim's bravery is being praised.

Jagran Correspondent, Outer Delhi. One needs to be cautious while riding an auto rickshaw at night. A person was robbed in an auto rickshaw at night in Adarsh Nagar. The auto rickshaw driver and the person already riding in the auto rickshaw robbed the victim by strangulating him.
Interestingly, five days after the robbery, the victim himself identified the robbers and with the help of his friends, he caught both the accused. The police have recovered the stolen mobile phone. North-West District Deputy Commissioner of Police Bhishma Singh said that Virendra, a resident of Buri Bichre village in Mahoba district of Uttar Pradesh, told the police about the robbery incident that happened with him.

According to Virendra, he was standing at the Azadpur flyover bus stand at around 10 pm on May 4. He boarded an auto-rickshaw to go to Sarai Kale Khan. There was another male passenger in the auto behind the first one.
During the journey, near Jhanda Chowk in Adarsh Nagar, the person sitting behind her strangled her and in collusion with the driver robbed her mobile phone, purse (which contained Rs 700 cash and two ATM cards) and a bag full of clothes. After this, the accused dropped her on the road and fled.
When the robber was seen near Azadpur flyover...
On May 9, at 12:30 am, the victim saw the same auto rickshaw and two accused near Azadpur flyover. He immediately contacted his friend and with the help of people, caught both the suspects. District Deputy Commissioner of Police said that after getting the information, Adarsh Nagar police station brought the accused to the police station.
The auto rickshaw used in the crime was seized. The accused were identified as Saurav Rajput and Sunil, residents of JJ Indira Camp, Rohini Sector-3. The stolen mobile phone has been recovered from them. People need to be cautious while riding an auto rickshaw.
