Indore (Madhya Pradesh): In-charge mayor Rajendra Rathore and local MLA Golu Shukla conducted inspections of major road construction projects currently underway in the city.
The inspection covered two key sites: The road from Chandrabhaga to Kalal Kui Mosque, and the 100-feet-wide road stretching from Sunkar Dharamshala to Raoji Bazaar Police Station.
The Chandrabhaga-Kalal Kui Mosque road, with a sanctioned budget of Rs 10.26 crore, spans 270 metres in length and 18 metres in width. Construction is in full swing and officials on-site were directed to ensure timely completion while maintaining high-quality standards.
The second project, a broad road connecting Sunkar Dharamshala to Raoji Bazaar Chauraha, has seen the completion of one lane up to Prakash Ka Bagicha. In addition, preparations are underway to shift electric poles and transformers from the route, with a Rs 1.25 crore tender already issued to facilitate this process.
“These roads will significantly improve traffic flow and enhance connectivity across the region,” said Rathore. “We are committed to completing these works within the stipulated time frame ensuring that the public reaps the benefits as soon as possible,” he added.
Accompanying the figures during the inspection were additional commissioner Abhay Rajangaonkar, superintendent engineer DR Lodhi and others.
