Sonu Nigam has been facing opposition from the Kannada film industry since his concert in Bengaluru some time ago. The singer had made a controversial comment on the Kannada language during his concert, after which the people of Karnataka, as well as the Kannada film industry, did not leave any opportunity to target Sonu. Seeing the growing controversy, Sonu Nigam had also apologized, but despite this, his troubles do not seem to be decreasing.

Amidst this controversy, Kannada filmmakers have taken a big step and given another blow to the singer. His song has been removed from the upcoming Kannada film 'Kuladalli Kilyaavudo'. The filmmakers have confirmed that the singer's song 'Mansu Hadtade' has been removed from the film. The song was directed by K Ramanarayan, the music was given by Manomurthy, and the lyrics were written by Yogaraj Bhat. This song was in a lot of discussion before the controversy.
Filmmakers took a tough stand on Sonu Nigam.
The filmmakers released a statement saying, 'There is no doubt that Sonu Nigam is a good singer. But we are very angry with the comment he made about Kannada in a recent concert. We cannot tolerate the insult of Kannada, so we have removed the song.' After removing the song in Sonu Nigam's voice, now the makers have brought Kannada singer Chetan to sing this song. The film's producer, Santosh Kumar, has also announced that he will not work with Sonu Nigam in the future.

The singer had to apologize.
Meanwhile, Sonu Nigam issued an official statement to clarify after controversy over recent comments made in Bengaluru. The controversy arose from an incident at East Point College on April 25, 2025, where Nigam, while responding to a fan's demand for a Kannada song, mentioned the Pahalgam terror attack.
