A majority of users have positive feedback for the trailer and they said that it looks way better than Avatar: The Way Of Water.
One user commented, “Feels like a true sequel to the first movie we got Toruk back and we got sky battles again! Way of water was great but I think this one might top it as it was hinting at much more of Kiri’s character.”

Another user reacted, “Damn, Varang forced a bond with Quaritch and it looks like he's falling in love with her. I had a feeling from the beginning they'll be together. This story is a lot and can't wait what the future holds.... YEAH, Toruk is back!”

While the second film was visually stunning, it often felt stretched with too much focus on worldbuilding.
In contrast, Fire and Ash appears to dive straight into a gripping conflict, with the Na’vi turning against each other in a war that feels more personal and emotional. Oona Chaplin’s Varang and the Fire Clan already seem like more compelling antagonists than Quaritch’s recycled storyline, giving the narrative fresh energy.

The darker tone also adds weight, as Jake and Neytiri are no longer just parents fighting to protect their children, but grieving leaders still coping with Neteyam’s death.
Visually, too, the volcanic landscapes and fire-lit battles bring something new and cinematic, offering a striking change from the ocean setting of The Way of Water.
Avatar: Fire and Ash will be released in theatres on December 19th.
